East Coast Trains have got an offer for 20% off a one year Family and Friends Railcard.
You will pay £20.80 instead of the normal £26.
Just buy online using the code East20. The offer’s valid until Fri 18 Dec.
The railcard’s valid on all national rail services, and can be used to get 60% off children’s fares and 1/3 off adult ticket prices. It can be used on the majority of fare types including standard anytime, off-peak and advance fares.
To use it, you must have at least one named cardholder and one child aged 5-15 in the group (kids under 5 travel free), with a maximum group size of up to four adults and four children (see Railcard terms for details).
You can now get 25% off a Family and Friends Railcard and 10% off 16-25 and Senior Railcards.
Until midnight 26 October, it’s possible to get 10% off the Senior, 16-25 and Family & Friends Railcards when you buy them using promotional codes online.
Enter the promotional code “NXEC10″ for the 16-25 Railcard and “NXECSEN10″ for the Senior Railcard when ordering online via the Railcard website.
Until midnight Sun 8 Nov, you can get a 1 year Family & Friends Railcard at just £19.50 instead of the usual £26.

Every year the Daily Mail offers it’s readers a free Friends and Family Railcard. This year is no exception. Of course you don’t need to read the Daily Mail to get the details as we have got them here.
You will need to sign up for the rail card at the Friends and Family Railcard website. You cannot get this FREE Railcard from any other source.
You will need to give your details on the site, and you will be sent a FREE two month Railcard valid until 31 July 2009.
Be quick though because you can only claim the Railcard until 13 May 2009.
Towards the expiry of the free Railcard, you will be eligible to purchase a 12 month Family & Friends Railcard for £13 instead of the normal £26 from 21 July 2009 up to and including 24 August 2009. This must be done online and not through any other means. The code has now been released and is “DAILYM09”.
ATOC has announced that Railcard prices will be increasing in price as of 17th May 2009.
Network Railcard
• The price of 16-25, Family & Friends and Senior Railcards will increase from £24 to £26.
• The price of the Network Railcard will increase from £20 to £25.
Minimum Fare Changes from 17 May 2009
• £8 and £16 minimum fares for 16-25 and HM Forces Railcards will change to a £12 minimum fare for Single
& Return tickets before 10:00am Monday to Friday
• 16-25 and HM Forces minimum fares will not apply to Advance fares.
• £10 minimum fare for Network Railcard will increase to £13 on all tickets Monday to Friday.
Note:
• 16-25 and HM Forces minimum fare does not apply on public holidays or throughout July and August.
• Network Railcard minimum fare does not apply on public holidays.
• £13 minimum fare does not apply to Gold Card discounts.
• A £1 minimum child fare applies with HM Forces Railcard, Network Railcard and Gold Card.
• Minimum fares for Travelcards may differ from those listed – see The Manual on FRPP for details.

16-25 Railcard discounts on First Class Advance fares
• 16-25 Railcard holders will get 1/3 off all First Class Advance fares from 17 May 2009.
Railcard discounts on Anytime Day Travelcards (Zones 1 – 6)
• 16-25, Family & Friends, Senior, HM Forces and Network Railcard holders will get 1/3 off Outboundary
Anytime Day Travelcards (Zones 1 – 6).
• A £14.80 minimum fare applies to Outboundary Anytime Day Travelcards (Zones 1 – 6).
• No discounts are available on Anytime Day Travelcards issued for journeys wholly within London Zones 1-6.
